Okay, let’s just get to it —did you get dragged by September? We all had a PLAN….remember? You know that feeling when you think, "I’ve got this!" “I’m gonna make a life syllabus” and then life just gets flipped-turned upside down? Eclipses, end-of-summer hangovers, and oh yeah, a war… All while your boss expects you to be psyched for a 3:30 PM mandatory training on a Friday?
I have an idea Boss Lady Mam…How about we have an inservice on how to navigate all this instead? Ok you don’t know either…Great.
You’re not the only one disassociating.
We’re all feeling this and burnt out in one way or another. We’re navigating our personal chaos right alongside the global chaos (which is not our fault - but we are forced to be here in this). The universe really has turned the dial up and face masks and multi-tasking doesn’t seem to be cutting it. (It honestly is making it worse, but more on that in the next letter)

So, whether you're juggling bills, jobs, kids, or one existential crisis after another, you’re not alone bebe. We are all feeling it. And if you’re somehow not, please, drop your secret sauce in the comments below.
So, where do we go from here?
What can you do to stay somewhat sane in this ongoing dumpster fire?
Well, I’m not an expert, on any of this…but I’ve been doing some things that are keeping me from feeling like I’m in the upside down 24/7 and maybe they'll work for you too.
October is all about grounding yourself while the world keeps spinning into further madness.
How to Not Completely Lose Your Sh*t in October
(Or, How I’m Trying Not To)
First things first: stay informed, but don’t get overwhelmed.
You can’t pour from an empty cup, and guess what? If you’re still reading this - Your cup is probably close to bone dry at this point. So yes, stay up-to-date on what's happening in the world, the tension in the group chat, or how Margaret from finance is definitely running her Only Fans on the clock - But don’t let it get you, GOT. It’s time to set some hard boundaries. Take social media breaks and skip the doomscrolling. You need some space to breathe.
Also..maybe take a deep breath…Yes I mean right now.
Write down five things that bring you joy and make sure to do at least one of them every week this month. Whether it's a solo coffee break, dance party in the living room, unsubscribing from this newsletter, or taking a bath - I wan you to prioritize some joy.
Because we have to start to identify our addictions, vices, and the things you rely on that are unhealthy source of dopamine hits. Moving into 2025 a lot of us are going to have a hard time detaching from the toxic workplace gossip, the selling your soul for the money, the vices, stimulants, depressants, binge eating, and if we have it our unhealthy addictions to love bombing, sex, and needing attention and validation from men/women/ them. Wow that was a run on sentence. But holy shit this is what’s up for 2025 - plus the USA is hitting her Pluto return [the Pluto return will culminate in the same part of Capricorn it was when the USA was born. Capricorn represents shakeups in authority, structure, and tradition - I’m thinking cryptocurrency, underground mining (either gold or metals for power/battery), homeland security, & student loan forgiveness].
And if this isn’t your problem..cool. But then I will also ask you to start thinking about how you have gotten addicted to spending your energy on others and what you are really looking for in return from that? Where is your self worth lying in your net worth? Has people pleasing and fixing the problems of others become your high? When was the last time you tended to your own lawn first? Bitch do you even have a lawn at this point? Can you finally be an active participant in your own personal evolution?
But First…You Gotta Get Grounded
Meditate, get outside for some fresh air, do a quick yoga flow—even a five-minute stretch counts at this point. Your nervous system is probably on high alert, and anything that helps you calm down and regulate your parasympathetic system is going to be needed over the next few weeks. More on that below
Here’s what I’m doing:
Daily Meditation: I have a few over here on my channel you can add to your morning routine - 10 minute Grounding Meditation, Focus Meditation, Manifesting & Self Confidence Meditation.
Nature: Go outside and get moving. It doesn’t have to be a full hike (unless that’s your thing), but a simple walk around the block can clear your head. Get a walk in everyday - Here’s a Guided Walking Meditation to help you get mindful on the go.
Body Movement: Whether it’s hot yoga, tai chi, or just a couple of crunches and squats while you're binging Netflix, get that body moving.
Detachment: If it’s overstimulating you or you're obsessing about it - put some distance between you and it.
Intentional Consumption: being mindful and deliberate with how you engage with content, food, shopping, and other habits that often lead to overstimulation or mindless indulgence.
The Libra Energy You Need to Know About
Good news: October is all about Libra season, which means balance, justice, and fresh starts.
Think: peace talks, partnerships, maybe even some diplomatic moves on a global level.
But on a personal level? (I mean this is why you subscribed - this Substack is all about you designing the life you want after all) This is your chance to examine your relationships—especially the one with yourself. Are you happy? Are your relationships (romantic, platonic, work-related, social media) serving you, or just draining the life out of you? My dear, It's time to recalibrate.
We have to choose what, when, and how we consume, rather than letting ourselves fall into automatic, impulsive, and overly comfortable behaviors. This is the era of un-comfort.
Key Questions to Ask Yourself Right Now:
Are the people in my life giving as much as I am?
Do these relationships still bring me joy?
What are my intentions with these relationships? Are they activating your shadow side? Are they a dopamine hit?
What would I let go of if the world ended tomorrow? (Not to be dramatic, but also…you get me.)
October is not the time for extremes. No wild spending sprees, no isolation, no bingeing on whatever your vice is. I’m telling you now escaping and addiction are gonna be heavy themes for 2025. Get a handle on them now.
It’s all about finding that sweet middle ground between vulnerability and strength. Vulnerability is not weakness; it’s a power. The patriarchy has tried to convince all of us otherwise. And knowing when to roll up your sleeves and jump in, or pump the brakes and guard your peace. That’s where real strength comes in.
Detachment Is Your Superpower
Detach from things that emotionally charge you or drain you. Again if it’s not lighting you up - what’s it really doing? And if it’s lighting you up - it is a healthy source?
Pretend you’re a third-party observer in your own life. It’s like watching a movie where you know the main character is about to make a dumb decision, and you’re yelling at the screen. Except, in this case, you are the main character. And that screen is your bedroom mirror which btw could use a lil windex spritz. ok? Ok
What would you tell yourself if you were watching all of this go down?

You’re here. You’ve moved through the last few years, and you’re going to move through the next few weeks too. It’s all about preparing for 2025. Keep reminding yourself of the times when you’ve been strong. You’ve got this. It’s a lot, but we’re all in it together—Alone, but also together.
And Finally…
Whenever you need to throughout the day, place your hand on your belly, inhale, fill the belly with the breathe, and tap into that vagus nerve.
Breathe in for a 6 count thru your nose.
Hold for 4 seconds.
Exhale for an 8 count thru your mouth as your belly deflates.
Hold the exhale for 4 seconds.
Detach from the chaos. Focus on what lights you up. Hold onto that thought and breathe again. Do this as many times as needed. It can help reset your nervous system quickly.
